Cracking pictures beats anything ‘down south’. Don’t advertise too much, they’ll all want to come here, (we don’t want the place full of cockneys)!! Keep photo’s coming. Much appreciated when sitting at home with a mug of tea with aching legs – post bike rides.

You got it..

Those photos are terrific and very much appreciated by a long time exile.
One thing puzzles me though.....that picture of Priestley Clough.
I lived in the clough from '40 to'51 and I just can't place that location. It can't be the old railrod track..it's not level.
can you clear up this matter of "international concern" edlily@charter.net. in california
United States

Ok Edwin, you are looking up the old track bed towards haslingden, they have taken the railway bridge out. The track going off to the left goes straight up to Bash con club. The one to the right goes up to Green Haworth golf club. If you go straight on you will see Kearns allen mill lodges.

As a former resident of priestley clough accrington it was a delight to find your photos. If I could just climb on my byke and join you for a run round there again it would be heavenly.

Well if you come back over here please drop me a line. I will make it happen.

Nasa scientists controlling the Phoenix Mars probe have successfully solved the problem of lumpy Martian soil which has held up analysis of samples for a few days.

You took the words right out of my mouth Rubre, Its the same up on Thievley Pike! p.s is there any good single track on Mars?

Fantastic pics.
I'm an Accy lad now living in Aus for last 3 years. Seeing those moors make me so homesick. Especially of the coppice where I grew up messing about with my mates.
Top job mate!

Hi Stu, many thanks. we could do with a bit of your sunshine, 2007 we had one day in which you could have had a barbeque. Its still like winter here and its the end of April!

I loved the pics. I'm just learning to use watercolour so I've printed a few as practice pieces. I hope I can do them justice.
I'm a Yorkshire exile in South Derbyshire so it's always lovely to see 'home'.

Im sure you will do the pictures justice. Thanks.

Hi Matey,
Just a quick thought, it would be reallly helpful (please please please) if you could give a post code so my sat nav can direct me to the starting point of the rides!
Thinking of doing the dentdale one soon, but would prolly struggle to find the starting point!
Cheers matey

Good Idea Phil, I dont know the post code, but the rd leading up to Kingsdale is opposite the junction of the A687 and A65 just out side Ingleton. go along there for 100 or so meters then turn left up Thornton lane for a mile or so.
