Cracking pictures. I did part of the Mary Townley yesterday (02-05-09) but I was mostly too busy trying to gulp enough air down to take photos so I have downloaded some of yours which of course I will pass off as my own
United Kingdom

Ok Stuart, no problem.

I emigrated to New Zealand from Lancashire a year ago. Your pictures could almost convince me to move back.
New Zealand

Our Moors and valleys really take some beating. I would love to see New Zealand too. What about doing a home swap for a couple of weeks?

After several months of having several photos from Obama's victory as my computer's desktop, I thought it was time to go back to scenic pictures for my desktop. I Googled "great view" and found your website. These are some really great shots. Thanks for sharing them with the rest of us.

Your welcome Derek.

Great website and pics, Mr. We're hoping to do "The Loop" sometime this summer if we feel fit enough! The in-laws live in Waterfoot so we got a good base to start out from. Take care. Keven & Tammy

Hi Keven & Tammy, hope you enjoy the loop. Ian.

Thought I'd take a peek! Great website - love the pics. Used to ride around the Dales as a teenager. Prefer walking these days. Hopefully (weather permitting), we'll hike the Yorkshire 3 peaks again this summer and take a few snaps. Bye!

Hi Laura, the Dales are great, get back on that bike!

Cheers John, No problem, it would be good to show you some of my favorite routes. Due to the crap weather this year I have done much of my riding on the road around the ribble valley and into the dales. Keep in touch.

Enjoyed your excellent photos. I want to visit Rossendale again soon and enjoy the hiking on the moors above Windy Bank and Gambleside.....(my Haworths were from Windy Bank, and Bank Top nr Lumb in 17th century!)
United States

I was out riding up there only last weekend. We have had a very wet year, so it was slow going. Good to be out though.

Lancs is a fantastic place for MTB`ers..
I love all your photos..
I`ve 1 or 2 nice pics myself of Accy area..
see you about.
Regards Mark
United Kingdom

Your right Mark, theres loads to go at around here. Even when its wet and too boggy we have quiet country lanes of the Ribble valley and the Dales to ride.

Many thanks for taking the time and effort to post your photographs. They are really appreciated.
Personally, I have completed the Mary Townely several times in one day including twice this year. Beware! to newcomers it is tough in one hop, especially if the ground is wet. But it is VERY rewarding. My tip is to start the earliest waking hour possible.
However I must complain!! - thanks to your images I now find myself planning to complete again in this coming October. This time anti-clockwise for the first time. Wish me luck
Thanks - John
United Kingdom

Good to hear from you John, Glad you like the images. Anti clockwise is best. Good luck with the ride. Ian.

Hi Mark, thanks. Good idea its a tough ride if you have not got the miles in. Ian.
